“The most memorable experience was learning to use a camera to capture the history of my people. The photo of my grandfather is shown all over the world and it is one of the few pictures we have of him when he was alive. The experience changed my life forever, it gave me a sense that even though I am here on the reservation which seems like a whole different world I can still send out positive Lakota vibes to the world. Pilamiya for bringing this form of creative expression into my life.

Now my children are also part of the photography world and its a gift that will last all our lives. Im always filled with pride when people from all around the world tell me they have seen my photographs.
